AMI_expos_Essen (227)

The conference programmes have been revealed for the four conference theatres at the AMI Plastics World Expos at Messe Essen in Germany on 14-15 June 2023. They are free to attend and are focused on plastics recycling, compounding and testing. Compiled by AMI’s expert conference teams, the programmes feature business debates, technology talks, market forecasts and practical training seminars.

Eva Haak, senior conference producer at AMI, explained: “The conference sessions present a great opportunity for attendees to identify key market trends and opportunities, learn practical tips for making their manufacturing operations more efficient, and discover innovative technologies to give their companies a competitive edge”.

The dedicated conference theatre within the Plastics Recycling World Expo is hosting three separate panel discussions exploring the hot topics of regulatory issues, feedstock quality and availability, plus the use of recycled plastics in packaging applications. These feature representatives from influential companies such as Amcor, APK, Berry and Interseroh. Expert speakers are also covering the latest advances in sorting, recycling and additive technologies for improving the properties of recycled plastics. In addition, Elizabeth Carroll, recycling and sustainability consultant at AMI, is presenting the latest European market trends in mechanical and chemical recycling.

The Compounding World Expo boasts two focused theatres covering the latest technology and market developments. Separate panel discussions are exploring the future for plastics compounders and masterbatch makers, plus how the industry is responding to regulatory and sustainability pressures. These involve senior representatives from companies such as Akro Compounds, Aksoy, Inno-Comp, Lati, Mocom, MOL group and Qolor Tech. A market overview on European polymer demand trends is being provided by Martyna Fong, director of market intelligence at AMI.

The conference theatre within Polymer Testing World Expo features presentations on recent advances in the testing and analysis of plastics materials and products. These are being delivered by speakers from leading research and testing institutes, such as Aimplas, Fraunhofer, Norner and ZBT, plus suppliers of advanced equipment, such as Frontier Lab, Hitachi, Hunter Lab, OCS, Oxford Instruments and Schütz+Licht.

Attendees can pick and choose between the four conference theatres, as well as visiting the 200+ exhibitors at the three focused expos. The event website features the latest conference programmes for each theatre, plus the current list of exhibitors and the registration form to obtain free tickets.
