Business Development Manager
Mr. Sewell has spent most of the last 30 years in the polymer industry developing process technology and application focused products, developing business and providing market leadership across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. After receiving his degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arkansas, he started his industrial career in 1988 at Dow Chemical USA in Texas as a pilot plant engineer in polyethylene R&D. In 1991 Mr. Sewell joined Neste Chemicals (later becoming Borealis) in Europe where he worked to commercialize their proprietary technology for producing HDPE. Over the years John worked his way down the polymer value chain developing the business for a variety of applications using molding conversion processes. John joined AspenTech in 1999 where he provided enterprise software solutions to the process industry across Europe and the Middle East. In recent years John worked as consultant with Toyota delivering executive leadership programs across their sales and marketing companies throughout Europe. John joined EconCore NV in 2014 and is working to develop the full potential of its ThermHex technology for the production of honeycomb core sandwich panels of various material combinations for a wide range of applications.
