Emil graduated from the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD in 2001 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was commissioned as an Ensign in the Navy upon graduation. While on active duty he served with VT-6, on-board the USS Enterprise (CVN-65), and as a Civil Engineer Corps officer at Camp LeJeune. He left active duty as an O-3 (Lieutenant).
His manufacturing career began at BorgWarner’s timing/transfer case chain division (Morse TEC) and he transferred to their Turbocharger division as a Sr. Mfg Engineer in 2007. Working as a machining support specialist/Sr. specialist he manufactured ring & pinion gearsets and input shafts at Meritor and brake caliper assemblies at Continental. He moved to Snap-On tools as Engineering Manager for their hand tools facility in 2019. Emil currently works as the Engineering Manager for PolyPipe in Erwin, TN, where he has been manufacturing natural gas distribution (NGD) piping since 2022.
